Callaway Pro Caddie Golf Ball Retriever/Dispenser

Callaway Pro Caddie Ball Feeder features:
  • Encourages golfers to slow down and focus on one shot at a time
  • Dispenses golf balls with a tap of the club
  • Holds up to 36 golf balls
  • Retractable legs and runner for easy storage
  • Allows for easy range work and ball pickup
    Customer Review: Convenience
My son has taken up golf and is 5 years old. Since we purchased a Practice Net and Mat, this has made practicing more convenient. You are able to keep on hitting balls without having to move from your setup. This keeps the pace of hitting more fluid and consistent. Once all of about 34 balls have been hit, it is easy to pickup the balls from the net using the Callaway Pro Caddie. You can also bring this to the range as well!

  • Butch Harmon Laser Trainer

The best way to understand your swing is to SEE your swing. To do this you need immediate visual feedback as you go through your swing. The only problem is that the most critical elements of your golf swing - the swing path and swing plane - cannot be seen with the naked eye. That is, a swing path and swing plane are theoretical elements of a swing that require something besides your eyes to see -- a tool is needed. This is precisely where the Laser Trainer provides dramatic help.
    Customer Review: Instant feedback
When I used this product the first time, I was surprised to see how much I was off the ideal plane. I could immediately correct my swing and when I started hitting balls, my new swing felt more natural and the shots went straighter. The only negative I have is that the enclosed VHS tape is useless as I have thrown out my video-player a long time ago.
Customer Review: A great tool for swing plane
I am a low handicap golfer [usually shooting in the 70's] but was plagued by inconsistant ball flight [pushes/blocks to the right and pulls to the left]. I bought the laser trainer to help with my consistantcy and repeatability with my swing. The laser trainer immediately showed me that my swing plane was considerably off from the ideal. I think the best part of the laser trainer is that it gets you in the ideal position on the backswing. To be accurate, it doesn't give you feedback at the top of the backswing as the lasers aren't visible on the mat at that point. But, it gets you into correct position/plane at the point where your left arm is parallel to the ground and your wrists are set/cocked. From there, it's only a matter of swinging back a little further to complete the swing. I was surprised at how incorrect my technique was prior to using the laser trainer. With consistant use, it becomes second nature getting the club on plane on the backswing. It also gives you feedback on the downswing position coming into the ball. Since using this trainer I have a very consistant ball flight and as much power as before but with less effort due to better technique/plane. I haven't used the trainer as a putting aid at this point but I imagine it would be very useful in that respect as well. I have also tried other swing trainers {Medicus, Pro Angle Plus] with some success, with the Medicus probably the best next to the laser trainer. But the laser trainer for me has given me the best results as there is no way to 'cheat' the device to make it work with incorrect technique, the lasers show you if you are on plane or not. Like any trainer, you need to use it to get results, but if you do, it should help golfers at all levels to improve by getting the swing on plane.

Who's Your Caddy?: Looping for the Great, Near Great, and Reprobates of Golf

To really know someone, as the saying goes, you must walk a mile in their shoes. But to really understand a golfer, you've got to work as their caddy. Sports Illustrated columnist Rick Reilly managed to get some very intriguing golfers to let him lug their bag and write what he learned both about the game and the folks who play it. Going hole to hole with them let Reilly know a different side of veterans such as John Daly, David Duval, Tom Lehman, and Jack Nicklaus. But Reilly also went beyond the pros to caddy for Deepak Chopra, Donald Trump, professional gambler Dewey Tomko, and Bob Newhart. In some cases, the portraits that emerge fall directly in line with the popular image but at other times it's just the opposite. Daly is sober but has shifted his addiction to massive amounts of Diet Coke, candy, and marriages; Duval is intensely driven during rounds but surprisingly laid back and friendly off the course; Chopra's inner peace is locked in a mortal battle with the inherent frustrations of golf; and Trump manages to be both an egomaniac and a pretty nice fellow. And although he's on assignment to profile his temporary employers, Reilly emerges as an entertaining figure in his own right as he commits numerous faux pas, breaks taboos, infuriates multiple golfers and caddies, accidentally dumps all of Nicklaus's clubs onto the turf in the middle of a round, and discovers that caddying is tougher than it looks. Reilly walks a nice line with the tone of Who's Your Caddy?: it's reverent to the game without becoming a misty-eyed poetic ode, and it's laugh-out-loud funny without being nasty or low brow. And while golf fans will certainly appreciate it, Who's Your Caddy? is an impressive book for fans of biography in general. --John Moe
Customer Review: Score This One an Eagle
Outstanding look at the whacky, wonderful and seldom thought about behind the scenes life of a caddy on the pro tour. Rick Reilly at his best--humor, sincerity, and warmth...a splice of life, the good life, the real life. You will come away with a new and greater appreciation of those who play the greatest game of all, the "loopers" who help them play it, and, in the last chapter, the game itself, why we all love it so. An excellent book...Don't miss this one!
Customer Review: He phoned this one in
As I finished the book, I realized that it annoyed me that Reilly took up caddying without really trying to learn how to do it. He started at the Masters with no experience and didn't do very well. He didn't seem to improve much . . . even with experience. I thought he showed a fundamental disrespect for his craft, the game and for the golfers he served by taking this approach. Thinking about my reaction, I thought about the responsibility we all have to do our best to serve others when that is our task. I'll try to do it much better after reading this book.

    Customer Review: junk
i just got this thing and hit it about 10 time and the pengulum broke and can not find parts. if I knew that the striking zone was plastic i whould of not got it...
    Customer Review: JUNK! BEWARE...
This thing broke during the first use. Even when it did work, it would move when the ball was hit. This thing was so cheap, I knew I should have just returned it when I opened the box (I almost did). Please trust that you will not be happy with this.

  • Tales from Q School: Inside Golf's Fifth Major

Acclaimed sports writer John Feinstein tells the stories of the players who competed for the coveted PGA Tour positions in the 2005 Q School and the powerful lessons they learned along the way. With arresting accounts from established winners, rising stars, the defeated, and the endlessly hopeful, he unearths the story behind the PGA's brutal all-or-nothing competition.
    Customer Review: Q School
Couldn't put it down. If you're a golfer this is a must read. If you aren't a golfer, but like real drama this is also for you. Feinstein gives you everything you need to understand it all and be intrigued. He's a terrific writer.
    Customer Review: Disappointed
I really enjoyed A Good Walk Spoiled and picked this book up when I was looking for something a little less heavy than what I had been reading. Granted, it is an easy read and won't strain your brain. However, my biggest complaint is the constant repeating of facts and anecdotes. This really drove me insane as I can remember something that I had just read a couple of pages back! The player stories just never really "tugged" at me nor made me really care about their stories very much. In retrospect, maybe I shouldn't have expected much lightness when reading about Q School and maybe it really isn't that interesting of an event. The book is OK, but don't expect too much.

    Count on Golf

Children are introduced to numbers in a fun way as they help Jimmy, the golfing bear, prepare for a golf tournament.
Customer Review: A creative way for kids to practice counting and learn about golf!
I bought this book at a PGA event and fell in love with it. My 3 year old twins (boy and girl) LOVE this book! Not only does it introduce golf terms to them, but it makes counting fun and it has a cute rhyming sequence for each page. Would highly recommend it!
Customer Review: Do you want your child to love golf as much as you do?
I bought this book a few years ago for my daughter and it has become a family favorite. The book helps children learn to count in a fun way all the while teaching them the terms of golf. The pages count from one to ten from tees to irons all with wonderful pictures. This book makes a great gift. Also, recommend The ABC's of golf also by Greene. A great way to interest children at a young age to the game of golf.

The Seventh at St. Andrews: How Scotsman David McLay Kidd and His Ragtag Band Built the First New Course onGolf's Holy Soil in Nearly a Century

When Scotland's storied St. Andrews Links Trust decided to build a seventh golf course, scheduled to open in 2008, the well-known architect of Oregon's Bandon Dunes, David McLay Kidd, was commissioned. Author Scott Gummer chronicles the days in the dirt and the nights in the pubs in this process story of how a band of diverse artists came together on a derelict potato farm and unearthed a field of golfing dreams. The vision, passion and adventure of construction are all here, including a hole-by-hole commentary by the architect.
Customer Review: interesting dynamics, colorful characters -- but is the course good?
the book suits my tastes well. i'm always interested in how passionate people come together to develop ideas, overcome obstacles, and get things done. double-bonus that the theme is golf. i hope to play "the Seventh" someday and experience, first hand, whether the intense passion and unusual approach of the team and its leaders actually produced a good result.
Customer Review: The Seventh at St. Andrews
I purchased this book as a favor for my great-aunt who wanted this book as a gift for her son. She was told by a friend this would be a great book for my cousin as he is an avid golfer.

    Golf Digest's Book of Drills

These drills are designed for beginners and experienced players alike. Drills on curing a slice, the full swing, bunker play, conditioning and warming-up and much more.
Customer Review: Complementary to the 8 Step Swing
This is a solid book to help reinforce lessons based upon Jim McLean's 8 Step Swing. This covers the full swing down to putting. A brief introduction followed by simple illustrations and explanations help the student understand the necessary movements. Many of the drills are covered by websites and monthly golf magazine articles; however, this is a compendium of drills to help any level of golfer. Overall, this is a book that complements conventional golf techniques.
Customer Review: How to Fix What Ails Your Swing
To change a swing you've got to groove it. To do that, you need a drill. Here is a book of over 100 of them, from a full-swing to short game, to alignment and warmup. McClain does a great job here, and the illustrations are helpful. Excellent helps for correcting a slice and increasing club head speed.

    Just Hit It

Former USGA technical director and engineer of the graphite shaft, Frank Thomas is revered for his knowledge and passion for the game. The world's leading expert on golf equipment explains how golf equipment works, describes which features matter and which ones don't, debunks common misperceptions and demonstrates that what's newest and latest may not be any better than what you already own. Practical, philosophical, and historical all at once, this important book features a foreword from Jack Nicklaus, with comments from Nick Price and David Leadbetter.
Customer Review: Just the facts about the Golf Equipment Industry
For 26 years as the USGA Technical Director, Frank Thomas has written a poignant book about the evolution of golf technology. He covers the technology and myths of equipment and what has translated to the biggest technological advances in the game. He writes in a clear but not necessarily concise manner but he makes important points through history and vignettes that should guide you in what you really need to play the game. I highly recommend reading this book. Other books that I recommend that cover similar subjects are below : The Right Sticks: Equipment Myths That Could Wreck Your Golf Game The Mad Science of Golf: On moving past golf industry hype and learning to play better golf The Search for the Perfect Golf Club
Customer Review: NY Times Review Overrated
I bought the book based on the review in the New York Times. I was disappointed in the book. Too much "filler' and not enough real knowledge.

The Future of Golf: How Golf Lost Its Way and How to Get It Back

Have you noticed that courses are becoming glorified driving ranges designed to accommodate the yardage gains of so-called technological advancements? You are not alone. If you feel that the traditional game is in a state of crisis, you may be right. The Future of Golf is a relevant and refreshingly hard look at modern golf. A mix of commentary, analysis and essays, The Future of Golf contends that the game of golf has been hijacked by corporate interests, while it's governing associations turn a blind eye. This thought provoking book is a hands-down, must-have addition to any golfer's collection.
Customer Review: The Future of Golf
If you, like me, are concerned about what is happening to golf and feel that technology has gone too far, then this book is a "Must".
Customer Review: The most important golf book now in publication.
This is nothing less than the most important book on the game of golf now in print. It is the most important golf book of the last 25 years, and is probably the most important golf book since the writing of C. B. Macdonald, Bernard Darwin and even Bob Jones. It is not an elegant book; others, including Shackelford himself have written books that are far more beautiful in terms of lavish publications. But the comparisons that have been made between this book and Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" are apt. This book is a call to arms in the golf technology arms race. These are direct, pithy, clear-eyed essays that will provoke any reader to challenge about half of what is becoming the accepted state of affairs in the world of golf. You cannot be a serious-minded student of the game of golf in the 21st Century without reading, and indeed studying, this book.

  • The Augusta National Golf Club: Alister MacKenzie's Masterpiece

This book reveals the true genius of the Augusta National Golf Club like no other-documenting its original design, chronicling the architectural and design changes over time, and analyzing the philosophies of its creators, Alister MacKenzie and Bobby Jones. The Augusta National Golf Club will help you understand why the course has a reputation of legendary proportion and how MacKenzie single-handedly changed forever the way courses are built.
    Customer Review: Amateurish.
I purchased this book and subsequently returned it. For all of its promise regarding documentation of changes to the course and side-by-side drawings comparing the original holes to the present-day versions, it was a supreme disappointment. I am very knowledgeable on the subject of The Masters and the Augusta National Golf Club, and nothing in this book can't be found in the other four or five exceptional books on the history of the tournament and the golf course. What's more, the diagrams of the holes are not in proportion (i.e., the drawing of the 1934 version of a hole is not drawn in the same scale as the drawing of the present version of the same hole); for a course which has been lengthened by hundreds of yards over 70 years, it would be nice to be able to compare such yardage changes in the side-by-side drawings. As presented, however, each individual drawing is shrunken or enlarged to fit the dimensions of the page, and scale is not considered. The drawings are also clumsily drawn and lettered by hand, which is not aesthetically pleasing in the least and is exceedingly amateurish; given the wide range of easily accessible graphic design software now available, this is inexcusable. I cannot recommend this book. Instead, a purchaser is much better off buying the books by Frank Christian, David Owen, David Sowell, or Charles Price.
    Customer Review: Nice Vintage Pictures
I actually got to walk out on this course. The Augusta National Golf Club grounds crew (a relative of mine worked there) get to play the course one day a year, on "Play Day" in May. I was the lucky guest of my relative. No picture book or video can do this course justice. You actually have to be there to see how big and "wavy" some of the hills and greens are. Anyway, this book has a lot of good photos, like the one with Bobby Jones and company standing near what today is the 12th hole. I also like the original hole illustrations set next to illustrations of what the holes look like today. This is a great book to add to your Masters Collection.

    Golf Etiquette, Revised Edition

This book provides an understanding of the accepted courtesies of the course. It boils down to thoughtfulness. Golf is called a gentleman's game where good sportsmanship and fair play count for something. It should always be played in an honorable way. This book tells you how to do just that. How to dress for the course, how to find clubs, tee times, finding people to play with, what to do before you play golf and at the practice range. It covers teeing off, fairways, hazards on the green, as well as what you can expect in terms of betting, talking business at the golf course, etc.
Customer Review: Every golfer should read this book at least once!
Every new golfer (and maybe some who have been playing for awhile, if you know what I mean) should have to read this book. It provides useful tips on how to properly conduct yourself on the course, the club house, and pro shop, so you don't make an a$$ of yourself. If you don't have an experienced golfer to show you the ropes, this book can do the job!
    Customer Review: Golf Etiquette
This is a must book for the beginner to scratch golfer. Given the burgeoning popularity of golf, every golfer should read this book to ensure the heritage and customs are adheared to. From what to wear to when to speak, this book will keep any golfer out of trouble. Small enough to carry on or off the course. A fun and educational read.

Harvey Penick'S Little Red Book: Lessons And Teachings From A Lifetime In Golf

2 Book Set; Harvey Penick's Little Red Book; for All Who Love the Game.
Customer Review: a mother and retired librarian
Harvey Penick's Little Red Book: Lessons and Teachings from a Lifetime in Golf first came to my attention in the comic strip Judge Parker. After that, I looked it up at Amazon.com and decided to order copies for my two sons who enjoy golf. They were pleasantly surprised when Amazon delivered a copy to each of them. Both of them have read and enjoyed Harvey Penick's advice which comes in short, but meaningful anecdotes.
Customer Review: Essential Golf Book for any Serious Golfer
A must have. Great tips on how to improve your golf game. Unlike the ad naseum wave of golf instruction that one can get bogged down in in Golf Magazines and instructional videos, this is simple straight forward approaches to improve your game.

    How to Cheat at Golf

How To Cheat At Golf is a hysterical look at the fine art of "cheating at golf." This small book is a great gift for the "excellent golfer" as well as the "not so excellent golfer". The book is chock full of methods and ideas on "how to cheat at golf". It's "tongue in cheek" methods to divert your opponent as well as the examples on carrying the diversions out, are "funnier then funny"! Rick Doyle wrote and illustrated this book. He promises after reading this book that, "Now, finally you can hold your head up high at your club's Annual Awards Banquet." Read it and laugh out loud.
Customer Review: How to go from loser to winner quickly
Whether you play golf or not, you will think this book is funny. Like all forms of human endeavor where a score is kept, some people will do anything to win. It starts with the following four points: 1) Everyone cheats. 2) Anyone who says that they don't cheat is a liar and a cheat. 3) The more expensive a player's equipment, the more he cheats. 4) Cheating is not dirty or immoral - it's part of the game. From this, there are "sound" pointers that will allow you to go head-to-head with the best of them. Ways to distract your opponent(s) and subtlety move your ball to a better position are demonstrated with text and diagrams. In only a few pages, you can go from defeat to victory without having to take expensive lessons, practice hard or buy new equipment. Well worth the price of the book.

    Tru-Break Putt 'n Hazard

Practice your putting accuracy almost anywhere with this realistic breaking putting mat. This mat has real hazards. The regulation size cup is protected by a sand trap and a water hazard. An electronic controller can easily shift the degree of the break to the left or right up to 2 feet. The cup returns the ball to you automatically. Durable non-frying surface is smooth with a large playing surface 28 inches wide by 10 feet long. Electronic ball return, no batteries needed. Great for fun or serious practice. .
    Customer Review: Putting hazards?
What in the world are these people thinking? Why would they add a water hazard and a sand trap to a putting practice tool? If that doesn't tell you that this thing is a gimmick, then nothing will.
Customer Review: Horrible, Cheap, Waste of Money
I got this thing as a gift from a discount house - I think it cost something like $70 at the time. Regardless of the cost, this thing is just terrible and barely works. It is made of cheap plastic; so cheap that the flimsy tilt mechanism is hard to keep together much less roll putts over for any length of time. The carpet is also cheap, thin and not padded. I have owned several putting greens and this was by far the worst I have ever had. Please look at other options.

    Customer Review: Golf Nut
I have read the book cover to cover twice now and get something new out of it each time. It was very helpful to correct my grip and gaining more distance out of my clubs. It was concise when it describes setup and address. Both of these things helped my game. I have only been playing two years but already have two holes in one to my credit. I would highly recommend this book to all women beginner's to the game or individuals that want to improve their bunker play or their short game.
Customer Review: Great handbook for those learning the game
I picked this book because of it's amazing photo images demonstrating the moves, because of its great descriptions and it was a paperback and easy to toss into my gym bag for quick reading during workouts. Not expensive either which is a plus. If you are picking up the game this is a great tool.

This is well worth the money, it has a thick padded base which does grips the ground well. Also the green fibers are strong, does not come of with every stroke. Using it for last 1 month and it still looks brand new.
    Customer Review: Fred
Very good product. Using it on dry clay for 30 minutes each day using short irons only and after three weeks it is showing no sign of wear.

Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf

Ben Hogan's premise in this 1957 classic is driven home in bold letters: "THE AVERAGE GOLFER IS ENTIRELY CAPABLE OF BUILDING A REPEATING SWING AND BREAKING 80." Religions are founded on less, and Hogan's detailed analyses and illustrated demonstrations of grip, stance, posture, and the two basic components of the swing make up a sacred book. Though its very simplicity seems dated, this is the tome of technique that should serve as the foundation of every golf library.
    Customer Review: Plain and Simple
Easy to read... Great tips..Just going back to basics, improved my game on the first day I played after reading half the book. I believe its a must for high handicapped players as well as mid handipcapped..
    Customer Review: The essence!
Do not waste your time! Just read this book and practice what Hogan describes in only one hundred pages. If you have any talent for the game, you'll understand the essence of swinging a club in no time.

Golf in the Kingdom (An Esalen Book)

Golf In The Kingdom is the author's haunting exploration of the mystery and beauty that is at the heart of golf. A young man on his way to India, stops in the Kingdom of Fife to play the legendary and ancient golf club of Burningbush. He is paired with a mysterious and playful teacher named Shivas Irons, who leads him through a day of phenomenal golf and a night of adventures. Golf In The Kingdom is a well written story and like the game itself, the book is a journey revealing both puzzles and pleasures. Michael Murphy is a native Californian who founded the Esalen Institute with Richard Price in 1962. He is a graduate of Stanford University and did further work in the area of philosophy. He is also the author of The Kingdom Of Shivas Irons.
    Customer Review: On the Fence
True golfers will find passages here that resonate...even those of us who, to put it mildly, dispute the existence, let alone the presence, of the supernatural on, of all things, a golf course. But if you have persevered thru the hot/bugs/expense golf stage, you may just have experienced a brief period most of us call, shrugging it off, "The Zone." Why else would anyone put up with all the, hot/bugs, etc., etc.? Should we be shrugging it (The Zone) off? Michael Murphy would say, well, hell no. Take your zone experience and multiply it by eight or nine...just within the believability range, mind you. What if Murphy really did spend that day at Burningbush [fictional name] in the Kingdom of Fife? Really. And what if he really did meet someone similar to Shivas Irons? It makes sense he would have played a round...and many, if not most of us, have met golf gurus who seemed at least a bit mysterious. Indeed, if you have never considered golf at all mysterious, disregard this book! If you have, just a little, wondered...make the investment. If it appeals, buy "The Kingdom of Shivas Irons" next. Fore! JMD
Customer Review: Golf in the Kingdom
Book arrived on time in the condition as described the seller. Excellent book!! Great reading like Peter Jacobsen said in his book.

Final Fore (Golf Lover's Mysteries) (Golf Lover's Mysteries)

At the bucolic Mount Holyoke College campus, Cassie Burdette is steeling her nerves for the U.S Women's Open, the most prestigious - and toughest - women's golf event in the world. She's already rattled by the absence of Laura, her favorite caddie, but then a rival is poisoned and Cassie begins receiving strange e-mails and messages. It seems that in high-stakes golf, competition can truly be murder.... Fiction
Customer Review: evanovich lovers - check out isleib
I love the Stephanie Plum, by Janet Evanovich, series and am always on the look out for similar novelists. Roberta Isleib easily hits the mark with the Cassie Burdette series. Fun situations, nutty but lovable characters, witty dialog, and soft boiled mystery make for a great read!
    Customer Review: Final Fore
Another great mystery book related to golf. Every golfers needs to read this book.

The breathtaking tour features magnificent photographs in an oversize coffee-table format filled with new information and great ideas for the golfing traveler. Includes comments by leading course designers Greg Norman, Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Doak, Gary Player, Tom Weiskopf, and others.
    Customer Review: Well researched
I enjoyed the overview and the fine illustrations of the golf courses. It tantalises one to the point that you would like to go and play them.
Customer Review: This is a fabulous book.
This book is a bargain at the original price. At $24 it is extraordinary value. I have just bought several copies, ordered through Amazon, to give to my best golfing friends. The photography is superb, as is the book's production quality. I am both a keen golfer and photographer, as you can see from my other reviews, and I commend David Scaletti for his extraordinary work. The narrative by Darius Oliver is wonderfully frank, well-argued and original. I also enjoyed his clear and joyous descriptions of each of his favorite courses throughout the world (excluding the U.S.). The focus of the book is on the courses outside America, because so much excellent material already exists on the Top U.S. Courses. The book covers the Best Courses in the UK and Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and Central America, Asia and Africa. If you are like me you will be planning many trips to visit these Masterpieces of World Golf.

    Nikon Laser400 Rangefinder

Nikon's Laser400 may be one of the smallest rangefinders on the market, but its outstanding performance makes it an ideal for bow hunting and rifle hunters. Enclosed in a compact and water-resistant design, the Laser400 measures distances out to 100 yards with an accuracy of half a yard and from 100 to 437 yards with one-yard accuracy. Its bright, clear optics, adjustable diopter, 8x magnification, 20mm objective lens, and 330 foot field of view ensures the best imaging possible.

The rangefinder also has two modes of operation--standard and rain--to adjust optimally to the environment. At only 7 ounces the Laser400 is a powerful tool in a small package. NOTE: Lithium battery sold separately.
Customer Review: ... and the 8x magnification is good too
while my game isn't quite good enough (yet) to need to know if the pin is 87 yards out vs. 85 1/2 yards (which this is apparently accurate enough to tell you), i do benefit from knowing that the green is in the general vicinity of 85 - which is fortunate, because if needed to know precisely I'd have to mount this thing on a tripod - the hand-held aspect of aiming at something a hundred or so yards away means that (at least in MY hands) you're going to be lucky to get the same reading twice. Which isn't to say that this is not a useful tool - like i said, i only need to know ABOUT how far i am to pick the right club --- and then i can use the 8x scope to see if i hit it up next to the hole!
    Customer Review: Got batteries
I felt the product should be more clearly marked. For example stating that the item needs a special lithium battery, so that if the item was purchased as a gift as the one I purchased was, I could have also purchased the battery. This made for a very unpleasant Christmas for myself and the person I purchased the gift for. I can not rate this product until I purchase the battery.

The Wow Factor: How I Turned One Idea and My Unbridled Enthusiasm Into a Golf Revolution

In the early years of Adams Golf, entrepreneur Barney Adams labored in obscurity. Everything changed in 1996, however, when he invented the Tight Lies fairway wood. Designed with the traditional head shape upside down, which both lowered the center of gravity and increased the hitting surface, the resulting club was easier to hit. Suddenly, Adams and his club became overnight sensations and sales skyrocketed, earning numerous industry awards. This rags-to-riches story suggests how you, too, can make your entrepreneurial dreams come true.
    Customer Review: Not Exactly Wowed
Barney Adams' determination and personal sacrifice is clearly articulated in the book. Following a complete accounting of how Adams Golf finds itself and reaches stability the book fails to take the next step in the life-cycle approach to strategic management with a discussion of how Adams has and will continue to re-event itself to prevent decline and future failure. Part Two "Inside the Golf Equipment Industry" was not very "inside".
Customer Review: Fun read with an excellent message
As one reviewer already noted, the message regarding the WOW factor is simple, but too often overlooked. Anyone in sales or product development should ask themselves what their WOW factor is. Answer that question and you'll increase your market share, as Adams did. Beyond the business case, the book was a fun and interesting read. I'm a little biased, as I was an early adopter of the Tight Lies club, so I immediately knew what Adams was referring to when I saw the title of the book.

    50 Years of Golfing Wisdom

A true legend of golf, John Jacobs transformed his experiences as a top-level player to become an all-time great teacher. The likes of Butch Harmon and David Leadbetter heap praises on his methods, and credit him for shaping their teaching and coaching careers. The pick of Jacob's collective wisdom are compiled in this simple, easy-to-understand volume which will help any golfer maximize their potential and play their best golf.
Customer Review: More Golfers Will Want to Learn From This Master
Harmon, Haney, Leadbetter, Nicklaus, Olathabal, etc. know that Jacobs is one of the greatest golf teachers of all time. So, the golfer who is interested in better swing and game will find this collected wisdom both informative and great read. As said, this is collected from his previous books, both instructional and antecdotal. From either the viewpoint of those who have some of these, or none, this is definitely one of those got to have books for one's golf libraries. Jacobs is known for bringing simplicity, yet results from his instruction, all tied to his brilliant breakthrough of ball flight. I love his stories, they are classic and insightful. His cut away all the unnecessary detail and providing understandable cause and reaction, one gets what one needs for greater golfing results and enjoyment. Can't recommend this fine tribute to one of golf's all time best instructors, not to mention a fine competitive golfer himself. As Bernard Gallacher was attracted to him was, so should we, he was too busy being hounded for advice rather than honing his own game.

Chicken Soup for the Golfer's Soul

This collection of inspiring stories from professionals, caddies and amateur golfers will provide you with insights into the game of life and leave you with a whole new level of appreciation for the sport of golf
    Customer Review: OK, I Guess
Why can't books of inspiration and insight have some humor that illustrates the points being made. I found this tape to be maudlin and overwrought with poignancy which did not inspire me nor shed any new insights. The stories were ok, but there is a lot more to golf than what I heard on this tape. Needless to say, I was disappointed.
Customer Review: Being There strikes home!
All of the stories were wonderful but "Being There" by Don Didio hit close to home. It brought back memories of my own father and what a great man he was. This story evoked feelings and memories that will last beyond time. Thank you Don!
